Assuming I Have No Brain Cells.

I had an e-mail from my ISP earlier. It said:

At Plusnet, our customers come first. So we thought you might like to know about Plusnet Extra...

This translates as:

At Plusnet, our profits come first. So we’re trying to persuade you to pay an extra 50% and buy the 60Gb broadband package instead of your present 10Gb one.

Why can’t companies just be honest? If they want to advertise, advertise. Why do they have to give me this ‘our customers come first’ and ‘we thought you might like to know’ crap, because it’s nothing to do with their customers coming first. It’s to do with increasing their turnover, pure and simple.

Plusnet, if you want to be manipulative to the point of dishonesty, at least try to do so in a clever or imaginative way. This is insulting to even an average level of intelligence.
