The walk tonight was spectacular. The atmosphere must have
been unusually clear because the full moon was unusually bright, the shadows
unusually deep, and the chiaroscuro unusually vibrant. Every feature of the
landscape was laid out vividly, from the nearby fields, to the rising ground
beyond the river, to the hills several miles distant. And the abode of M’Lady S
glowed. It looked like a sunlit scene with the batteries running low.
Why doesn’t everybody in the countryside go for walks at
night?

They're tired, it's cold, blah blah blah. Those are the reasons I don't go on walks, anyway. Olaf and I used to explore our campus together before the temperature dipped below freezing. There will be other days to appreciate the outside.
Ah, but do you live in a place with no street lights and just the odd cottage scattered here and there? It's wonderful being alone out there, especially if there's a full moon and clear sky. The stars, the stars! And shooting ones, too.
