It seems that senior politicians are so bound up in the
political game – the business of tinkering with cultural mechanics for the
promotion of ideological tenets or the protection of personal power – that they
omit to care about the interests or fate of the individual. It’s becoming ever
more apparent that people are little more than pawns, there to be sacrificed
where necessary for the sake of scoring points.
