One of the problems with our digital Freeview TV channels in
Britain is that
they’re loaded with commercial breaks and tired, repetitive trailers for ‘flagship’
programmes. The current biggie is Suits.
Every time there’s a commercial break, we have to have the same old scenes from
freggin’ Suits – over and over and
over again...
What I find interesting is that, if the ads and trailers are
to be believed, all of the beautiful young women in all of the world (at least,
the ones who don’t know what a gin joint is,) are endlessly attracted to
pretty, plastic little boys. Ageing men with experienced, leathery faces that
look like they’ve been buried in a dank grave for a few centuries and then
exhumed don’t get a look-in.
Which is, of course, how it should be.
