Being Absent.

So where was I yesterday? Feeling bloody rough, that’s where. The old fatigue problem was at its debilitating best, doing everything in its power to convince me that carrying on with this pointless life was… er… pointless, so why didn’t I just give it up and head for the hills to await reconciliation with the priestess.

I feel better today. So far.

Don't like hearing you're feeling poorly again but it is good to hear that you are feeling better, even if its 'so far.'

Thought about you last night while watching the meteor shower. I saw 5 of them, just so you know.

Five? The best I got when I was doing the night walks was two, and I thought that was pretty splendid.

The fatigue thing has been coming and going today. It's hard to describe, but it isn't very nice.

Yes, three i saw clearly and the other two not so clearly. Supposedly it was possible to see an average 100 within an hour's time last night. I saw what i saw within about a 20-30 minute time frame.

Have you still been smoking tobacco? Maybe cutting it out completely will help. My fingers are crossed for you, hoping its nothing serious and that it will soon pass.

Oddly enough, the onset of these symptoms coincided with me cutting my smoking down by about 40%. I've wondered whether nicotine withdrawal might be partly responsible. I still think it's classic CFS caused by all the stress I was getting last year.

Thank you for keeping your fingers crossed. Do you think 'My Pal Peanut' would make a good title for a story?

It is the perfect title ;)

I've quit smoking a couple of times and didn't feel the greatest for a few weeks but i did feel more energetic and stronger after i got over the coughing that comes with lungs healing.

I do know a woman who quit smoking and became ill and severely depressed and had to see a therapist and start taking antidepressants. Maybe your cutting back has caused you a bit of stress and a drop in endorphins and dopamine and that is making you feel tired? Only hoping its as simple as that.

When I was a kid, a friend of my mother's quit smoking and was so ill that the doctor told her to start again. I don't think they do that any more.
