There’s a rumour going around Europe that Romney is
planning to relocate all the black people, Hispanics, those who own a maximum
of two cars, and the whole population of West Virginia to Florida so their votes
can be lost somewhere in the Everglades come November. The impending Republican
convention down there is seen as evidence of the advanced stages of reconnoitring.
It’s also being said that when Romney and Obama shook hands recently, Romney
was heard to whisper ‘may the richest man win.’
These are, no doubt, scurrilous rumours and I wash
my hands of them.
