A Little Personal Post.

Sarah’s mother drove past me on the lane today, with M’Lady in the front passenger seat. She didn’t look at all happy.

I went out twice today, Sal, in the hope of bumping into you, but it never works. Hope you’re OK.

I was in the back, my sister was in the back!it was her birthday yesterday! I thought you hadn't seen me! Am I allowed to ask..... What was in your orange bag? Y

So who was sitting in the front? She was slumped a little, looked just like you, and waved a half hearted wave. She even managed a half hearted smile, unlike your mother's which is always big but under control.

Am I seeing things now?

The bag contained dark, secret things, fit only for the eyes of those practiced in the arcane arts.

Stubby beer bottles (oh, and a plastic milk bottle to lend an air of respectability, just in case the vicar walked past. They were on their way to the bins at the pub.)

That would be your recycling then!!!!

I just re -read my post and I can understand why you were a little confused. I meant to say

I was in the back and my sister was in the front. That should make a little more sense now.

I walked past yours this morning, but it was early and I don't think you were yet up and about. Me and inca both looked for you. Inca stopped and looked up at your house, but you wern't around. I tried to explain but I don't think she understood!! hehe!! she is now asleep with her paw squashed over her nose! y y

Recycling indeed, but when have you ever known me be so straightforward and prosaic?

That's interesting about it being your sister in the front. I never think she looks anything like you, and yet I was certain it was you who waved. So... It must have been a case of me seeing what I wanted to see. Or expected to see. Or whatever.

I woke up at 9 this morning and got up at 9.30. That's early enough for somebody who doesn't go to bed until 3am! But I have to say that it was very sweet of you to look. I saw a woman today (don't remember where, exactly) who had a cocker the same colour as Incs. Say hello from me?

It's 9.20 now and I've developed and sudden and surprisingly painful backache. Am deciding whether to do the nocturnal ramble or not. Maybe I'll give it a go and see whether I can walk the damn thing off. Can't imagine where it came from - feels like a trapped nerve in the lumbar region.

Eek, feel like an eavesdropper but "I ain't dropping no eaves Mr Gandalf, Sir" ;)
Warm oil on said lumbar region with a hot towel that's been soaked in hot ginger water, repeated when it cools for 1/2 an hour (ayurvedic remedy).

I need you, Mel (well, my back does.) Come home!

I would gladly treat you to a Kati Basti ( Ayurvedic treatment). I'm not swearing at you, honest.

Swear away, if it makes my back better.
