Remember the heavy snow we had two weekends ago? On the following
Monday, the headmistress of the local school had morning lessons truncated and
ordered an early lunch so the kids could spend the afternoon building snowmen
and having snowball fights. That strikes me as an entirely proper approach to
education, and makes a refreshing change from idiot politicians who want to
start loading educational pressures onto kids at a younger and younger age. Isn’t
childhood short enough as it is?
