More Truncated TV.

I started watching a TV documentary tonight about whole cities, temples, and maybe even pyramids being hidden under the sand in Egypt.

The ‘star’ of this documentary was a woman archaeologist from Birmingham, Alabama. She was fine: intelligent, restrained, quietly spoken. It was the two Brit presenters who got on my nerves – one male and one female, as you’d expect (actually, the girl presenter is Irish, but she pretends to be a Brit.)

‘Wow!’ says the boy presenter.

‘Amazing!’ says the girl.

‘Holy...’ says he.

‘...cow.’ says she.

That was the point at which I switched off. Sometimes it's hard not to give up completely on today's media.
