I cancelled Mel’s visit when I saw the state of the road
this morning, which turned out to be just as well because her train was
cancelled, too. It seems that the floods had affected the line, the signals and
the phones. A bus service was laid on instead, and it took two hours to travel
forty miles due to hold-ups caused by – floods. They tell us it’s all down to
the jetstream not being where it should be at this time of year. Global warming,
apparently.
On an entirely unrelated subject, something just reminded me
of how much I hate nightclubs. Always did, even when I was a teenager. I gather
they’re much worse these days – body markets without manners, and rather more
dangerous. But I won’t go on because I already did this subject some time back
in my blogging past.
Something is making me nadgy again.

I hate nightclubs too and think we're in good company.
I've heard a number of young people say they hate them too, but still they go because it's the thing to do. Conforming was never my strong suit.
