We’re not having much of a summer in Britain
so far. July is supposed to be the warmest month of the year, but I gather that
the temperature in some parts of England
wasn’t far short of freezing a few nights ago, and the days are struggling to get
out of the 50s at the moment – at least in rural areas. But I suppose if you’re
wilting in Wisconsin or melting in Manhattan, the prospect of 59° would seem
oddly attractive.
