Extremes.

We’re not having much of a summer in Britain so far. July is supposed to be the warmest month of the year, but I gather that the temperature in some parts of England wasn’t far short of freezing a few nights ago, and the days are struggling to get out of the 50s at the moment – at least in rural areas. But I suppose if you’re wilting in Wisconsin or melting in Manhattan, the prospect of 59° would seem oddly attractive.
