Following on from the horror in New
York, I read today of a British case involving a man
who stunned his girlfriend with a stun gun, put her in a cardboard box, and then
buried her alive in a shallow grave. Somehow she managed to escape and the
boyfriend has now been found guilty of attempted murder.
The things human beings do never cease to astonish me. Are
we all capable of doing this kind of thing, or only some of us?

Only some of us. I know what i'm capable of and things like that are far beyond my capacity.
I think so too, but I still wonder just how far I might go given the right provocation or conditioning.
