What I saw on my walk tonight gave me another little
reminder (presumably because I hadn’t taken the hint the first time) that there’s
something I’m just going to have to get used to. I’m on my own and that’s how
it’s going to stay.
I walked home feeling OK about it. Being alone has just as
many benefits as drawbacks, maybe even more. And it comes with the territory when you're stuck with the fact of being an
idealist. What you aspire to finding simply isn’t out there. If it means taking a walk
through the odd dark vale now and then, so be it.
And the moon looked splendid sitting alone above the empty fields.

I lived alone for quiet some time and for the most part i liked it just fine but there were times when i was very lonely. Having my cats helped. I don't know what i would have done without them. They kept me from feeling totally alone. I did have neighbors but they weren't the type of people i could really talk to and get to know or let them get to know me. Sometimes conversation with them left me feeling depressed. Maybe you should get a goldfish or something :o)
Or a budgie. At least they talk, even if it's only to repeat back what you've said to them.
'You're a pretty boy.'
'You're a pretty boy.'
Maybe not.
