I saw something odd in the wood this evening. It was black
and of indeterminate shape, but about the size of a rabbit. It came out of the
undergrowth and darted quickly across the path. Then it faded and disappeared. A
rabbit’s ghost?
Should I be posting this?

I can't believe this!! This morning I had a similar experience within a clump of trees. it looked like a person and then was gone...

It certainly appears that way, I gobbled my breath when I read it!!!
I said it looked like a person, it most certainly was of sorts. Then, I got to cradle a little bird in my hands, a greenfinch, he slept a while with head cocked to one side. I asked him? if he was alright now and off he flew. He had flown into a window, I called the wind, trees and his fellow feathered ones to help him.
Now you're confusing me. Are you somehow referribng to my post A Cause for Optimism? That little guy looked like a baby greenfinch.
No , this morning I really did cradle a greenfinch.
