Fraud Avoidance.

Realising that most of us spend most of our lives playing one or a number of roles is an interesting experience. That’s the point at which you become inclined to drop the role playing and start finding out who you really are. I’ve said that before, but the interesting bit is what comes next.

You begin to notice, or at least suspect, that it’s almost impossible to relate to other people unless you’re either playing a role that accords with the expectations of particular circumstances, or your genuine self is a good match for another person. You further notice that the latter is remarkably difficult to achieve if your genuine self is a long way from the norm.

So what do you do? Go back to playing roles? That would be the easy option, but then you’d be a fraud, wouldn’t you? And you don’t want to be a fraud, do you?

Just a thought before turning my attention to the garden.
