When a barman says ‘Who’s next?’ he reveals the two basic
human types. One points to the man next to him and says ‘This chap was here
before me. Serve him first.’ The other extends his arm furthest and says ‘Me,’
even if he’s only just arrived.
The principled person needs to exercise his principles in
order to have peace of mind. All the unprincipled person needs is to get what
he wants.
And this is why the world is as it is.
