Today I’ve walked, gardened, ironed, blogged and taken
pictures, and now I’ve got a bit of a toothache. Serves me right for being
industrious, I reckon. Now I have to wash the dishes. I hope I don’t die of it.
I do, too. And if you do i hope you aren't one of those ghosts that have to perform your last task over and over again for all of eternity. It would be the worst thing ever, to be a ghost always washing a never ending sink full of dishes, and to always have sudsy, opaque wrinkly fingers.
HAHA! Do you ever watch or listen to the Ricky Gervais show? If you can find any episodes on YouTube with Karl Pilkington talking about ghosts then give them a listen. Its kind of hard to make me laugh out loud but this guy always does. Its like half of his brain/mind is a genius and the other half is... very slow.
I'm going to put one up for you. Do you know the premise of the show? It isn't scripted. Basically Ricky Gervais and Steve Merchant just ask Karl questions. It started as a podcast and now they've added animation so that it can be on tv with a cartoon visualization to go with the things Karl says. Idiot Abroad is another good show where they send Karl around the world to experience other cultures and film his reactions, etc. I'm sure you've heard of it considering they're British shows.
I've never had money because I've never been driven by money. I received little formal education beyond the age of sixteen, which isn't such a bad thing since you get a different angle on life that way. Learning what you want and need to learn often reveals things that the system's road keeps hidden.
Anyone interested in viewing the availablity of my novel Odyssey or novella The Gift Horse can do so here.
To Be Retained...
...until death do re-unite or the Priestess return to Avalon.
Khalil Gibran on Children.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts, for they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
OMAR KAYYAM ON REGRET.
The moving finger writes and, having writ, moves on. Nor all your piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel half a line, nor all your tears wash out a word of it.
Herman Hess on Nobility
There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man. True nobility lies in being superior to your former self .
Free Fiction
I have another blog called A Handful of Stories on which I've posted some of my short fiction. Most of it has been published by a variety of independent small press publishers, so somebody other than me must have thought it worth reading.
All the permanent pictures and some of the posted ones on this blog are my copyright. Most of them, however, are placed with a picture library which holds the licensing rights. I don't, therefore, have the legal right to grant permission to use them.
An Inhabitant of the Hungry Ghost Realm
This character appears in one of my short stories, and also in the novel. He's sadder than he looks, poor thing.

I didn't, thanks. Still here and listening to the music of some English Late Romantics.
Imagine being one of those men (it's always men) who die of a heart attack whilst...er... you know. What a tiring eternity that would be!

OK, on the list.

Actually, I haven't. I watch about an hour of TV a month!. But I'll certainly give it a go.
I should also mention that Karl isn't trying to be funny. These are his real thoughts on things. I put up a video for you.
