Recent research has shown that psychopaths have a poor sense
of smell. The two phenomena are traceable to the same part of the brain,
apparently. The news report included the statement ‘…psychopaths, who are
famously manipulative in the face of questioning…’
Aha! On Monday morning I want every Member of Parliament
lined up to have their sense of smell tested.
The report also said that psychopathy is a severe
personality disorder characterised by lack of empathy, antisocial behaviour and
callousness. Right, then. Tory MPs first.
(Yet another Tory MP – a government minister, no less – is
in trouble. When stopped by a policeman from riding his bike where it wasn’t
allowed, he called the officer a ‘pleb’ and shouted ‘know your f****** place!’
That’s my boy.)
