I’m going to repeat something I wrote in an e-mail (again.)
‘I’m so lonely I feel like an eggshell after the chick has
hatched.’
I do so only because I think the simile is a bit nifty.

I saw a snippet from a Japanese website tonight. It said:
‘Teaching our children impulse control.’
Is this a good thing? I suppose it depends on the impulse,
but it strikes me that it would be very easy to take it too far – especially in
the Age of Systematic Establishment Hysteria.
