Helen looked all young and girlish again today (she was still getting asked for ID in pubs when she was thirty three, but she's been looking a bit more womanly of late.) I asked her why and she said it was because she was happy.
'Happy? How do you spell it?' I asked.
No, I didn't. I like it when Helen's happy. She still let me buy the drinks.
I also bought a new lawnmower while I was out. And they've introduced parking charges at the station. And the train fare has gone up. Today was expensive.
