I find it cute when bumble bees rub the sides of their heads
with their middle pair of legs. I watched one doing it today. And then it occurred to me that people find it
cute when cats wash their ears. So what is it about an animal rubbing the side
of its head that we find cute? And what’s the definition of ‘cute’ anyway?

I don't find flies cute when they rub their heads. I think it depends.
Maybe because flies aren't fluffy like cats and bumble bees.
