Being Inferior to the Worm.

It’s a platitude you hear often, and one I’ve probably heard more than most.

You’re too sensitive.

They say it as though it’s a fault. Moreover, they say it as though it’s your fault. And what they’re implying is ‘I’m less sensitive than you, and so I’m superior.’

Well, I should imagine the average earthworm is less sensitive than me…
