A Yorkshire Beauty.

Have another bit of Kate Rusby, the Barnsley Nightingale, singing in her native Yorkshire accent with its flat vowels an’ all. I do so appreciate it when people don’t pretend.

Beautiful Jeff, I didn't know her until now. Yes really!

I only discovered her recently, Mel. What's annoying is that she did a couple of concerts at the theatre where I used to work, and I never bothered to go (for free, even.) Having seen her perform on a couple of YouTube tracks, I think I would have been blown away. Her voice and delivery are quite unique, and her smile most infectious. And there's something real about her - no strutting celebrity, it seems. I bet she punches hard, too!
