Being Misunderstood.

Mel is doing an English course at uni at the moment, and they were just studying the way in which average readers respond to different modes of expression. It seems that a pithy writing style like mine is likely to induce the inference of unintended negative connotations.

Well, I’ve long held that you need to see somebody’s eyes to really have much hope of understanding them. How often have I said that the written word, even in the best of hands, is a blunt instrument? Then again, I can’t imagine that my conception of the average reader would be interested in anything I have to say anyway. Come to think of it…
