All my life I’ve been reluctantly curious to know how Eskimos
living in igloos go to the toilet. When I was a kid, there were still some old
houses that had outdoor privies, and that was bad enough in a typical British
winter. So what must it be like when the outside temperature is minus 50 and
there’s a 60mph wind blowing? You wouldn’t want to expose any unprotected bits
to it, would you? Things might freeze solid; things might snap. So what do they
do?
