Being a Pedant.

Statements that set my nerves on edge when they’re used by so-called professional communicators:

‘His star is in the ascendancy.’
‘There are less cars on the road.’
‘Temperatures will be colder tonight than they were last night.’
‘He’ll be sent back from whence he came.’

There are more. Am I being pedantic? I do try not to let the edge get too sharp.

That's hardly being pedantic. I'm far more of a language snob - satiates that need for some sense of superiority.
