Manual Labour.

I’ve been making and mending things outside today, working with wood, and using a drill, hammer, saw, nails and screws. Sometimes there’s nothing like a bit of good old fashioned manual labour to gain a sense of satisfaction. Doing the things my dad, my granddad, and my great granddad did. Using the strength of my arm instead of tapping the keys on a keyboard. I only hope I don’t get the RSI back that I got when I was sawing wood every day during the winter to make fuel for the fire a couple of years ago.

But, no. Positive thinking. It perks up not only the mind, but the muscles. It sets the metabolism going, and makes the subsequent rest all the more restful.
