Counsel for the Goddess.

You see, here’s my position on the men/women thing:

I don’t see how life and nature can be in balance until the Goddess takes her place at the top table on a different but equal footing with the God. There can be no senior partner and junior partner in this arrangement; equality must be non-negotiable. I believe in the concept of ‘women’s work’ and ‘men’s work,’ but demarcation must be flexible and determined by nature, not by men.

Woman has been subordinated by, and for the benefit of, patriarchal religions for thousands of years, and it has to stop.

This is a big, big subject which is ripe for discussion, but the written word won’t do. Discussion – and even negotiation if necessary – must be face to face and eye to eye, with body language in full view. And it must be constructive and consensual, not combative and self-interested.

This is what I touched on the other day. It’s where I’ve been for the last twenty years, trying to sort out the details. There’s still a lot of sorting to do.
