Which of the three women is the most beautiful/impressive?
There are plenty that ask the question, but I think this one goes to the heart of the matter. No man with an ounce of gallantry in him would want to upset Arwen or Eowyn because he'd be afraid of hurting them. He wouldn't want to upset Galadriel, on the other hand, because he'd be afraid of summary emasculation with a rusty potato peeler. There's really no contest.
And have you noticed how most things legendary present their women in threes, while the menfolk are generally scattered around randomly, encased in ego bubbles? I think it's a divide and rule thing.
