Being Tested.

I’ve always taken the view:

‘I will not be tested. You may use what powers of observation you have to assess me, but you may not test me.’

Nevertheless, I sometimes had to succumb to testing because it was the only way of getting what I wanted, but my attitude is becoming more entrenched.

So which is more important: pride or achievement? I suppose it depends on how much you need what you want.
