Putting the Customer Second.

According to the news, the Governor of the Bank of England says that commercial banks are putting profit before customers.

Really? Commercial banks are at the forefront of global capitalism, and we all know that the more global capitalism becomes, the more remote it grows from the interests of ordinary people. Serving the interests of its customers is only warranted if such service contributes to profitability. The fact is obvious; the reasons are obvious. Why is this news?
