Incommunicado.

It’s coming up to nine o’clock and I’ve only made one blog post today. There are two reasons for that. The first is that nothing interesting or amusing has happened so far; even the news has offered little to fill the sails of a good old rant.

The major one, though, has been the reluctance of Google freggin’ Blogger to upload images. It took a long time and a lot of perseverance to make the last post, but the real problem came when I was trying to upload the new banner pic. I reckon I must have spent five hours on that, trying different versions, resizing and re-saving jpegs, going back to the layout screen etc, etc. Eventually I had my dinner and came back to it. Still no go. It wouldn’t even let me go back to the picture I was using before; it simply refused to play ball. I decided that my banner would have to be pictureless.

Ah, but then I had a thought. Long story, but I realised that something might have been causing a conflict. It never has before, but this is the new, ‘improved’ Blogger we’re dealing with. I tried it, and it worked. It worked! Five freggin’ hours, but I got there in the end.

Oddly enough, the TV is playing up today as well. Maybe there are some noxious particles in the air, screwing with the technology. Or maybe that should read ‘friendly particles.’

JJ, I feel your pain. Blogger is making me nuts! Well, nuttier...

I'm glad you persevered; your banner/header is beautiful.

Blessings,

Victoria

Thank you, Anonymous!

I see signs of rustiness though, Victoria. It's twenty years since the landscape photography business went west (I think you say 'south.') Hopefully, the cogs will get better oiled as this little 'job' goes on.

As for Blogger, the forum is full of stuff about difficulty uploading pictures. What cured the problem with the banner pic (though not the ones in the body) was closing all other tabs that had blogger material in them. It's never been necessary before, but it seems there was some conflict going on. 'Improve to make dysfunctional' seems to be the name of the game these days.
