Judging by the presumed location,
I'd say I must have been 4 or 5 when this
was taken. I've never looked that smart since.
This must have been a year or two
later. The milk teeth were, no doubt,
the ones which caused Mrs Evans and
her Barry such distress. The look of
potential mischief in the eyes probably
caused my mother some distress, too.
Around 8, I should think. The smart, grown
up teeth presumably considered the biting
of humans to be beneath them, since they
never did. As for the looks, they went downhill
all the way from there. I'm shortly to take up
a post in Paris, occupying the bell room of
Notre Dame. The job entails deterring
woodworm, rats, atheists who refuse to

That last picture actually made me laugh out loud (not merely LOL, which is rarely meant literally).
Young JJ looks adorably precocious.
You say the nicest things, Maddie. I seem to remember thinking something similar about the little redhead.
I think it's time I stopped being precocious. Being ahead of your age is OK when you're 8, but there comes a point...
I had a good chuckle over Gollum as well. I'm still laughing, actually.
At first, I was like, "I didn't ask for pictures..." Duh.
I had a 'duh' moment too, when I was looking at the smaller pictures in the JB. It was a group shot of several adults and children, and I was puzzling over who the little boy was who was sitting on my mother's lap. It took several minutes to realise...
So sweet! And, like Maddie, that last one made me laugh out loud, as did 'I didn't think you came out in the daylight' in a previous post.
More pictures please.

More pictures, Nancy? It took courage to post these three! I grew very fat after the third one, which didn't drop off until I was about fourteen. (I remember several worldly wise women calling it 'puppy fat'.) I'll have a look through the albums and see whether there are a couple more later ones which I might be prepared to acknowledge. Gollum flatters me slightly.
