One relationship on the rocks, another on the rise. Working in the darkroom until 4am, still enthralled by the magic of images appearing on paper, with Springsteen’s album Born in the USA playing in the corner. (I was a Springsteen man in those days.) And most prominent of all, pretending that the left brain day job didn’t exist.
It soon didn’t. It was the start of a fundamental shift onto a radically different road, and a good one at that. Many ups and many downs, but the ups won the day. In terms of experience (and what else is worth considering?) the next seven years were fat ones.
You really never know what’s around the next corner, do you?
