Cross Breed Trivia.

I encountered an interesting dog in Ashbourne today. It had the general head conformation of a Springer Spaniel, but it was smaller and leaner built. It was very lively.

I talked to its human and was told that it was a Sprocker – sometimes known as a ‘working spaniel.’ As the name suggests, it was a cross between a Springer and a Cocker. They’re not uncommon in Scotland, apparently, and I was further informed that that they are unusual in causing no difficulty to people with dog hair allergies, since they hardly shed any hair at all.

Am I a mine of useless information, or aren’t I?
