The Beer Parade.

Tonight’s special beer is Thwaites’ Crafty Dan. At 6.0% abv, it was quite a catch at £1.50 a bottle.

The label says it’s an ‘Amarillo Pacific Gem.’ It also boasts a ‘marmalade aroma’ and the fact that it’s a ‘golden zesty orange liquor.’

Fortunately, there’s enough beer taste left to make it worth drinking and avoid the frustration of having spent £1.50 on a bottle of squiff-inducing orange squash. And the extra strength might save me a bit on the scotch main course. The Barnsley Blonde is still sitting on top of the chart for the fourth week running, however. The view from here isn’t a bad one.
