Hands in Motion.

I came across a video tonight, in which a bunch of Bollywood dancers dance to Adiemus. It isn’t classical Indian dance, of course; I saw enough of that at the theatre where I used to work. Bollywood’s version is distinctly westernised. Nevertheless, one thing remains constant:

The hands.

Indian dance places much emphasis on the hands, and when Indian women move to music, their hands dance like birds.

I doubt anybody will understand why I get such a kick out of hands dancing like birds. I don't understand it either; I’m just weird, I suppose. Watch it here if you want to.
