I find it hard to believe you were ungracious. Or, your behavior may be considered ungracious, but only to an HSP. Those other types wouldn't even notice.

You've hit a nail on the head there, Nancy. I almost continued with something like '...but I doubt the person involved even noticed.'
But the other person involved is a very guarded person. Even with my keen radar, I've never been able to decide whether she's HSP or not. She's certainly sensitive, but that isn't necessarily the same thing.
