Late Night Recession.

I’ve just been listening to some songs and albums that were big for me in their day. The result is that my mind has gone into a strange state, floating around in a space pregnant with confused values, occasionally striking the walls of a hollow cylinder and resounding with the clang of bone on metal. I had to stop before I went upstairs for a pee. My legs had gone weak. I kept looking for the Priestess and the Brooklyn Belle, but they’ve disappeared.

Blogs don’t have to make sense, do they? Must do some more painting tomorrow.

Thinking of you, Jeff!

It's been a while, Shay. Never forgotten. Hope the big blue beast is still carrying you, cool and carefree, along the highways and byeways of California.

Just can't stop being pretentious, can I? And while I'm on the letter c, the corn cob is still keeping the mariners' globe company.

My darling blue beast is faithfully carrying me to & fro, yes, dearest Jeff, in fact, we're going on a highway trek today ... I am happy to hear that the wee cob is in your midst still & hasn't shriveled into oblivion ... I love knowing it's there with you.

And I love having this little piece of your vibrant self in Wisconsin, Shay. Or was it Minnesota? I don't remember whether you crossed the Mississippi from east to west, or the other way round.

Aw, Jeff, that's sweet to know ... hmmm, well I was in Minnesota when entering that corn field on that stormy night ... but I am from across the rivers in Wisconsin. So, you were right on both counts, my friend.
