Coffee Coloured Music.

I haven’t posted any music for a long time, so I thought I’d indulge myself for a change.

Back in the late 90s, when I was working at the theatre and happy as a pig in muck (mostly), I developed a taste for ethnic fusion music. I suppose it accords with my naïve maxim:

Let’s all remember where we’re from. Let’s all glory in the better, friendlier, most positive aspects of our culture. And then let’s all get together and just get on.

One of the leading lights of my interest was an album by Afro-Celt Sound System. I’d forgotten all about them for many years, but tonight I rediscovered the album on YouTube. This is one of the tracks. I find the joining of African and Irish idioms quite hypnotic.
