I’m also not the greatest fan of those oft-quoted sound
bites of so-called wisdom generally, since they’re usually flawed, overly
simplistic, turgid, trivial, or a combination of some or all of the above.
Nevertheless, not to be outdone, I thought I’d coin one of my own:
Wisdom is never having
to say ‘I know.’
(… even though I sometimes do, which just goes to prove that
the person who accused me of being wise was wrong.)
