Singing of Escape.
It’s about time I posted another favourite song. This one
was written by the incomparable Paul Brady, but is sung here by one of the most
iconic of Irish women singers. It’s about the lunacy of the Troubles and the
need to escape to the sanity of love. Political statement or romantic ballad?
