One for Mistress M...

... who took time out of what must be an unconscionably busy schedule to talk to me about the sad circumstances surrounding my grandfather's demise. Mistress M is a brick, and I like bricks. And the video is apposite to granddad's demise, albeit a little less serious. (I think I might have posted it before, but I don't remember.)

How did you know that I liked Mitchell and Webb? And yet I hadn't seen this one yet. Thanks.

Lucky guess, I suppose. (That's one advantage of not being American: You don't have to write 'Lucky guess, I guess.') And it was topical vis-a-vis my grandfather.

You know, they did a very surreal sketch once in which two men sat in a boat saying strange things - bit Samuel Becket. It was what first hooked me into them, but I've never been able to find it on YouTube.

Can't say I've seen that one online either (and I've only ever seen M&W online) but this one is, and it's my favorite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTchxR4suto

It's one of my favourites, too. I posted it to the blog a couple of months ago when I was in the mood for celebrating the sublime side of silliness. I think it would be improper to reveal my own favourite favourite, since I know how concerned you are at the prospect of being scandalized.
