Dumber and Dumber.

The big news today is that the built-in alarm on some models of the iPhone isn’t working. The BBC sent one of their senior – and expensive, no doubt – reporters to do a long piece for the national news from outside the Apple shop in London. Serious stuff, eh? My reaction:

1) Mouth agape with wonderment.

2) Desire to howl with despair.

3) Fall about laughing.

What the hell is wrong with this silly culture, that we attach such weight to something of such paltry significance? How much dumber are we going to get? I’ll stick with laughing at the whole crazy business. If the Chinese monk can laugh at the absurdity of life in general, what else is there to do?

A nice, hearty laugh this morning, thank you Jeff. "How much dumber are we going to get?" Yes, that sums it up nicely.

Greetings, Della. .Scuse the swear word. I was in that kind of mood and didn't care.

Going to live in the countryside knocked my groupie gene on the head, Zhen. And talking of groupies, don't go pestering those nice Englishmen in blue caps, will you? They're busy.
