You must never run away from a problem. You must always face it head on and defeat it.
Sounds very grand, doesn’t it? I wonder how many people who come out with that one actually apply it.
OK, you’re in a jungle in Bengal or somewhere. You’re on foot and unarmed. A jeep comes along and the guy tells you that a notorious man-eating tiger is less than a mile away and heading in your direction. Are you going to decline his offer of a lift out of harm’s way? Hardly.
Of course, few of us ever face problems quite as extreme as that, but there’s a principle that holds true in all walks of life. Everybody has a right to draw and respect their own boundaries. There are no rules. And sometimes, running away really is the best thing to do.

" "It's not me they want, it's the miracles! And those I can teach to somebody else; let him be the Messiah. I won't tell him it's a dull job. And besides,' There is no problem so big that it cannot be run away from.'" I slid
from the cowling down to the hay and began tightening the cylinder nuts on number three and four cylinders. Not all of them were loose, but some were.
"You are quoting Snoopy the Dog, I believe?"
"I'll quote the truth wherever I find it, thank you." " Richard Bach. Illusions

Rob?!
Great! Now I'm searching the archive to see whether I said anything damning over the last eight months!
Haha, I'm guilty of this all the time.
Did you ever read the Series of Unfortunate Events? Great kids series, and the 12th one featured a character who quoted axiom after axiom, only the main character thought up other axioms that were contradictory. They all ended up dying in a cave, but that's just the nature of the story.
You don't spout axioms, do you Maria? Does Snark know?
Maybe I should read that series. I seem to be getting younger as I get older. I'm currently going through adolescence. Gruesome, isn't it?
