Maybe it comes from being a Sagittarian with Scorpio rising and a moon in Pisces. Fire + water = steam. Bad news.
Getting there. Slowly.
I’m looking at my computer microphone. She’s tall and black, with a flexible stem. She curvaceous. She has a name.
Time I went to bed.

Dear JJ Beazley: This does not relate to this post (sorry!)
However here is the beginning of a story. Pass it on if you wish:
Once upon a time there lived a very attractive princess named Floosabella. However, this princess was not like other princesses because she was a frog, and she lived in a cave by the pond. One day after checking herself in the mirror Floosabella decided to go out to find a
I think you'll also be (not) happy to hear that I am currently giving a young man a lot of grief. I feel bad for him, but not too bad.
Dear Maria Sondule,
First off, is there any chance I could persuade you to drop the 'Beazley?' I wasn't born with the name and I dislike it. I was adopted at age 8 by a Mr Beazley, a man for whom I had little affection. If you could revert to JJ, I'd be obliged (add 'ma'am' and I become a Dixie gentleman!) It would be even nicer if you could see your way to making the big leap to Jeff.
The story: I've pasted it into a Word document and will add my bit later. I'll post it to my blog.
I have a feeling he won't be the last, Maria. I don't know what you look like, but your writing and choice of profile pic gives some good clues as to your 'presence.' And it would be hypocritical of me to censure you, given the grief I've handed out to women over the years (mostly not deliberate, I might add.) You have to go your own way, of course, and if you treat others with kindness and respect in the process, you'll be doing well.
Jeff: I apologize. I usually call people by what they list in their profile. No offense meant! (:
Good heavens, Maria. Absolutely no need to apologise. No offence taken. It's just that I've developed a dislike for formality down the years. Any problem with that is mine, not yours. The only place I'm happy with JJ Beazley is in my fiction. Probably stems from my fondness for MR James. I think I must have been in that sort of mindframe when I started the blog. What I really dislike is being called Mr Beazley. It stems from something my stepfather said once, and I shall always regard HIM as Mr Beazley, not me.
