That Eve of Battle Feeling.

Friday looms, and all day today I’ve been hearing Sir Jacob Astley’s famous prayer uttered prior to the start of hostilities at the Battle of Edgehill in 1642:

O Lord, thou knowest how busy I must be this day. If I forget thee, do not thou forget me.

As far as I know, Sir Jacob survived the day. (But he still died in the end anyway, so what the hell.)

I'm not all that religious, but I'll be praying for you tomorrow. Please let us know how you are doing, when you feel well enough.

You're too kind, Nancy. Thank you.

Oddly enough, I feel fine. It's the medics who are stirring the muddy water with their blasted machines. But I suppose they might be right so I have to go through the motions. There are several possible scenarios here and I'll be sure to keep you posted.

(Please don't suffer sore knees on my account.)
