We're a big country, and we let people say whatever they want. Believe me, I've had my share of laughs about them too.
The problem is though, Maria, they seem to be gaining so much influence. I gather one politician said 'We've already go one raghead in the White House, we don't want another one in the Mayor's office.' It isn't the fact that he said it that bothers me, because I believe in free speech. It's the fact that somebody with that kind of blatantly bigoted and prejudiced (and extremely childish) attitude should be given a position of power and influence.
