Good. Now I can say ‘hello and welcome’ to my latest visitor from the Netherlands. He or she has been here twice, so the hex is lifted. Off the top of my head: tulips, advocaat, a high maritime tradition, fingers in dykes, plenty of Dutch lorries on British roads these days, and a hell of a lot of damn good painters.
