Mystery.

This is the woman who once sent my head spinning until I thought I was going to fall over, just by looking at me and saying 'Hi.' She's the only woman who's ever done that.

Why?

I never spoke to her again.

wow. I agree with jenny. who is she?

It's a poor picture of her. She was better looking than that. It wasn't her looks that did it, though, it was something else. I had to look away from her and concentrate on staying upright; I literally thought I was going to fall over. One of the oddest and most memorable experiences I ever had.

Carmen! This is the second time you've posted a comment while I was typing a reply to an earlier one. Are we soulmates, or something?!

Not saying. She might pick it up on a google search, and be embarassed, poor thing.

Is your hair red yet?

Ah, but you have said...you have.

Have I really? What's your guess, then?

Since you didn't elect to say, (overtly, anyway) then neither shall I.

No betrayal of your initial intent here, however I will say that your logic (or effort?) for not mentioning her name lest she happen upon it via a Google search has been somewhat foiled by your own hand and, prehaps, by design.

It is amazing, though, how someone can affect us through what is often times the briefest of encounters. And I wonder, if through the serendipitous nature of the universe, she’s not thought of you at precisely the same random moment?

On a related note, I understand she is doing quite well these days and is still as lovely as ever.

And, on a completely different note, although finding your blog was complete happenstance, it has been an interesting, enjoyable, entertaining read, so thanks!

And cheers!

Fascinating! And intriguing. I'm almost tempted to wonder whether that's you, Oliver, but probably not. 'Happenstance' is predominantly a North American expression, though not exclusively so. I even wonder whether the third person reference might be a blind, but that's unlikely too. Mystery is a bittersweet phenomenon.

Yes, I noticed a rush of visitors to my blog a few days ago - according to Google stats, that is - and it seemed that a lot of people had Googled the name of the lady in question. I am guilty only of an oversight. It didn't occur to me that people might cross reference blog posts.

Thank you for the compliment. I would love to know who you are, but that's up to you.

As for the serendipitous nature of the universe, nice thought but most unlikely. I didn't come close to knocking her off her feet.
